Someone should do a thread with Nicole! I want to do something awesome with her.
Or with my Jim. I don’t have anything going too much anymore. :(
Seriously?
Greg. There’s not even a choice.
There’s going to be quite a bit of character development going on for Nicole, I think.
She’s secretly crazy, that’s why she wants to be a criminal psychologist. So it’s about time to start exploring that.
He leaned back and watched her stutter and spurt out parts of words and become as frightened as a mouse. He couldn’t help but laugh and shake his head. “You can stop apologizing.” He ignored the mention of Jim and the mention of Natalie…even though it made him feel sick to his stomach, hearing them together in the same broken sentence.
He folded his arms across his chest and let out a long sigh, “I prefer that you call me Jack, Jack Valentine. I’m not sure what my brother told you but I’m not as bad as I seem…maybe.” He gave her a smug smirk and his dark brown eyes shone in the sunlight, “Could I possibly have the chance to get to know your name, since you already know several things about me it’s only fair.”
“R-right, it’s um - I’m Nicole, Nicole Lestrade. Yes, related to the Detective Inspector…” she spoke quietly, still unable to shake the panic that had risen in her chest. Another Moriarty, one she’d actually been tracking - and, therefore, one that might not be as kind to her as Jim was. But Mackenzie Saxon was back in London, so what the hell was going on? Well, really, it was obvious. Saxon in London, Jim no longer harassing Nicole - of course.
“I-I’m sorry about what happened between you and Mackenzie,” she said then, cringing at herself. That was a severe overstepping of boundaries, especially considering she had no idea what the situation truly was. “I mean - not that I - word gets spread around London quickly. Sorry.”
Jim smiled slightly, clapped his hands on his knees and stood up, offering a hand to her once he was up. ”I know a place where we can go.” he said, pulling his phone out quickly to check the time, and offered her his arm before taking off down the street.
“You’re awfully curious, babydoll.” he said with a grin. ”Anything else you want to get off your chest? Questions you’ve been dying to ask me.” Knowing her timid nature, he didn’t expect her to ask any extreme questions, but he let the possibility linger in the air in case she decided to anyway.
“Er - no, no, I think I’m okay, I just… I’m confused, is all, I mean - I thought she was one of your - um - favorite employees… right?” she paused, licking her lips. From the information she’d gathered on Mackenzie in their last meeting, it seemed that there was maybe some kind of relationship between the two, and she couldn’t understand what Jim was doing now. “S-sorry. I’m sorry, I’ll - I’ll stop, now…”
“It’s to do with James Moriarty,” she said coldly, leaning forward on the desk. “I need to speak with the Detective Inspector, not his little sister that has a crush on Jim,” Mackenzie sighed, pushing her hair back as she stood up straighter. “I don’t think it’s a good idea for me to talk to you. I’m not an idiot.”
Nicole paled immediately at the mention of Jim, and accidentally knocked a few things from the desk in her panic. “I don’t - I - I…” she glanced around, hoping no one heard her. “What are you talking about? I don’t - I don’t even know him.”
The statement made Tristen laugh, he licked his bottom lip and tried not to seem so…him for a second but that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon, “He needs a lot of things. Maybe you could lock him up for the night or something, I think he’s having one of his moments”.
“Things are going that bad again, huh?” she asked, in a somewhat softer tone. “Sorry to hear that.”
Not really. Just saying hi.

Oh! Well, hello! I’m Nicole.
Just popped by to say hello really! I’m Violet Holmes. And who might you be sweetie?

Oooh, Holmes? I know a Sherlock Holmes - well, I kind of know him, I mean - well, he pops by the Yard quite a bit. Nicole Lestrade, by the way! It’s a pleasure.
